The career of Vietnam's richest man today began in Eastern Europe. After studying in Moscow, Pham Nhat Vuong founded the instant noodle company Technocom in Ukraine in 1993. His Mivina brand quickly became the market leader and shaped Ukrainian food culture in the 1990s.
In 2010, Pham sold Technocom to Nestlé for around 150 million USD and returned to Vietnam. There he founded Vingroup, which is now Vietnam's largest conglomerate, operating in real estate, education, health and technology.
Since 2024, Pham has also been at the helm of electric car manufacturer VinFast. Under his leadership, it is set to become Vietnam's first global technology group, with a clear focus on international expansion and sustainable mobility.
👉 Lesson learned: Pham's CV shows that big visions come from small beginnings. He started with instant noodles and now builds cars that are driving the future.
