🇻🇳 Record year: The company was Vietnam’s market leader for eleven consecutive months. The most popular models are the VF3, VF5, and VF6 — affordable city and family cars designed for the domestic market.
🇪🇺 Global ambitions: VinFast opened six showrooms in Germany but sold only about 55 vehicles there. In early 2025, the company withdrew and discontinued direct sales. In Vietnam, however, VinFast remains a symbol of national pride — many customers buy it specifically because it’s “Made in Vietnam.”
🔎 Watch: Despite rapid growth, the financial situation remains tight. Losses in 2024 amounted to around 3 billion euros, and parent company Vingroup continues to inject capital. Analysts view VinFast as a high-risk national prestige project.
