About Asiabits
Bridging the gap between East and West through non-biased, on-the-ground insights into Asia's technology, innovation, and business landscape.
Our Mission
Asiabits was founded in summer 2025 by Thomas Derksen and Michael Broza. Our mission is to bridge the information gap between Asia and the West by delivering daily, non-biased insights into the technology, innovation, and business landscape across the region.
We believe that understanding what's happening on the ground in Asia is essential for anyone making business, investment, or strategic decisions in today's interconnected world. That is why we publish every day, directly from Shanghai.

Our Team
Editorial Standards
We are committed to delivering accurate, balanced, and timely reporting. Our editorial principles:
- On-the-ground perspective. We report from Shanghai, not from behind a screen thousands of miles away. Our insights are informed by direct experience in the Asian market.
- Non-biased reporting. We present facts and context from multiple angles. We do not take political sides or promote any government's narrative.
- Source transparency. We cite our sources. When information comes from company announcements, government data, or industry reports, we say so.
- Clear separation of news and opinion. News coverage and analysis are clearly distinguished. When we offer our own interpretation, we label it as such.
- Independence. Advertising and sponsorships are clearly labeled and never influence editorial content or coverage decisions.
Corrections Policy
We take accuracy seriously. If we publish incorrect information, we correct it promptly and transparently. Corrections are noted at the top of the affected article with a clear description of what was changed and when.
If you spot an error in our reporting, please contact us at [email protected].
Advertising & Sponsorships
Asiabits offers advertising placements in our newsletter and podcast sponsorships. All sponsored content is clearly labeled as "Partner of the Week" or "Sponsored." Editorial decisions are made independently of commercial relationships.
