
From January to August 2026, CATL alone supplied 39.4% of the EV batteries installed worldwide. BYD followed with 15.1%. Together the two hold more than half the global market.
Only three companies outside China made the top 10: LG Energy Solution with 8.1%, Panasonic with 3.5% and SK On with 2.9%. The other seven, from CALB to REPT Battero, are Chinese.
