China Makes 75% of the World's EVs and 90% of Their Anodes

The IEA's Global EV Outlook 2026 shows China's share rising at every step down the battery supply chain.

China assembled about 75% of the world's electric cars in 2025. It made over 80% of battery cells, about 85% of cathode material and over 90% of anode material.
